How is Tamaki doing? Mainly asked wrt Shell and recent events and blah blah

He's more stubborn and determined than ever, which is really about as well as he's going to be! I think he kinda goes through cycles of flopping around Shell pathetically and then running around frantically making as many bad(?) decisions as he can cram into the day. Right now he's in the latter phase and just in total MUST PROTECT SHELL NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE TO DO >8U!!!! mode.

Since the Rejoice game, he feels like he's really failed Shell, and he's working hard to overcompensate. He wants to make things right, even if he has to keep making friends with psychopaths (or possibly try threatening them), even if he has to get other teams involved, even if he has to learn to be violent. And he's started scheming a lot to these ends, which will probably be more evident once he gets to talk to Lace...

But yes, he's actually pretty obsessed with Shell! To an extent that he doesn't go out and do things he wants very much anymore (note: "things tamaki wants," in this context, means "hit on girls"). He does enjoy taking the opportunity to fuss over Canary, but he wouldn't be so aggressive about it if the rest of the team weren't involved. (Though he his really, REALLY happy that they are, because it's a constructive thing for everyone, and also look at all those dumb Canaries, they are adorbs).

Back atcha, how is Mint doing right now?

Fairly shitty. She lost! And she's super sore about it. She also feels like a super dick for betraying Shark (no feelings either way about the rest of Celeste and Cardinal can go hang) She feels like she was pretty honest and emotionally exposed in trying to defend Celeste in the Rejoice game, and everything she said got dismissed pretty quickly, and it hurts because she's tried pretty hard (for her) to throw herself into the idea of 'you are a team, put your team equal to yourself' and everyone else is like 'nope, blood relations are the only bond that counts,' she's feeling like it's all been a waste of time both in a bitchy way and in a secret 'wow i tried making emotional connections and see where that got me, never again' way. So, her outlook from now on is like sure, try to win games 'cause maybe that's the only way out of this place (not that she actually has any hope there is a way out--good ends should help with this?), but otherwise fuck everyone else I'm out for myself; if you need food or defense or other shit done, go ask Iris or Saffron or Canary, they're the only ones you care about anyway.

And of course it's all up in the air since it's still soon enough that she has far too many feelings that she loses track of some in her not wanting to think about them-ness, but this is where she's at right now.

As for Excel, she just sorta imprinted on Jubjub and called it a day. She likes Shark and Lark in a neutral sort of way, respects Coyote, and has all sorts of feelings tied up in March, though they're mostly negative feelings of "WHY ARE YOU SUCH A DICK?" and "WHY DOES EVERYONE ON THE TEAM PAY ATTENTION TO YOU ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE SUCH A DICK???"

So she doesn't dislike Celeste, but she doesn't feel close to them, nor does she want to feel close to them because she's convinced (not entirely incorrectly) that they don't really care about anything but their own problems, but she was okay with that? Mind you, it wouldn't have even been an issue if she weren't post-Thusia (she'd be running around yelling at everyone like Makina is). But as she is, she doesn't really see the point of making the effort.

And then Dera showed up and Saffron was so chill, and she got to allow herself to like Mike, and she IS actively trying to make good ties to them, because they're Scowl's team!! And Scowl is too important not to actively support his team!! So it's a real problem...

...sob, she probably would try to abandon ship and join Saffron if she wasn't so afraid of the dragon...

I feel bad about it, too, because I apped specifically to be on Celeste, but it's just not clicking. We're gonna try some stuff as a team and hopefully it will get better. And Dera told her she needed them so she is gonna try and need them! So hopefully it will work out.

What is some stuff you want to see/are tired of seeing in games?

I'm boring! I like games where you interact with a bunch of people because I like spamming around. Team bonds uber alles has always been something I have been poor at; in general I find war rooms tiresome, but I guess it would be good to have something that strengthened that since about half of teams are like fuck my team right now (the other half being my team is awesome). I'm bored of death being the penalty/incentive for games because both of my characters have died enough that it's really not a big deal anymore? If you're gonna do trauma and you aren't going to force people to personally inflict it on others, do mind fuckery! It doesn't even have to be like anything huge or "dark", it could be like you forget the taste of your favorite food or everyone looks like a cheese, just something different that you are going to remember and probably feel bad about! I also violently don't care about turning into small children or animals. ...idk this is kinda generic I guess, I feel like I haven't been in many games lately but that is probably just because I have a terrible memory :|b

Reverse?? Or if you've answered that, are there aspects you wanna run?

I really super want to do a murder mystery game! But I couldn't find a premade one I liked (certainly not one big enough to handle running as a Deco game), so I started writing a Deco-themed one of my own, but the amount of prep work is just ridiculous so who knows if it'll ever come to fruition...

But yes, I want to play with that theme of putting some RP in my RP.

I like trauma games a lot but actually lately I've been craving stupid CR games where I can ignore the objective and just goof off with people, too.

What is Mint's daily routine like?

Yeah, a murder mystery would be fun, but definitely difficult to do as a big group :|a But if you wanted something to bounce ideas or whatever off of, let me know :|a

Speaking of RPception, I wonder if just having groups/teams/partner teams run their own tiny D&D modules would be terribad or terrigood :|aaa Like it seems that as a game runner you could get away with making/finding a simple lv5 quest and letting people go wild asking for Cheetos...

mmm daily routine, one of those things I always say I should write down but...never do...

Mint is a fairly early riser. She usually wakes up around 7 or 8 but is not a morning person so usually lazes around the bed for an hour, either trying to go back to sleep or trying to get up. In the morning she might do some calisthenics, then she precision jumps to the lower levels to hunt or fish depending on if she's more angry (hitting things!) or upset (swimming alone!). By midday she returns to Shell to drop things off and have lunch and clean up, since the others are likely not showering then (since running into one of the others in the shower would be loud and thus irritating). After lunch she does stuff like wander around bothering friends and other people! If no one's around, she'll make sure the smoker is stocked, or look for escape routes or something or practice magic on level 3 or 4 (testing control and working on new spells), or maybe even keep lv 3 from getting too overgrown. I dunno if Shell has dinner together; if they do she'll come for it otherwise who knows. At night, more wandering around, maybe more magic if her MP has recovered and more running if it hasn't, then try to crash by midnight (but ha ha maybe actual sleeping by 1 or 2).
