for extra credit: how does king feel about all of kong's friends

Kong is honestly fond of Ventus, still wears the bracelet and everything. It's not easy for him to wrap his brain around somebody actually giving a shit about him, but he was actually kinda touched. And because of Ventus, not targeting Ratatoskr in bad games is like the one thing Kong does out of actual human emotion instead of just to look good or avoid pissing off teammates.
And I mean like, obvs sociopath disclaimer of there is not a goddamn thing he would hesitate to literally anyone in order to save his own skin. But he really would prefer not to.
Also, while he finds Ventus fun to be assholes with and even recognizes some of the dickery there, but he still feels the need to hide that he, too, is a dick. It's not so that he's worried about it affecting their friendship; it's not even really something he puts a lot of thought into. He's just naturally a pathological liar who is covering his own as at all times, even when it's grossly unnecessary.

BUT NO ventus is very fond of Kong in return, honestly - something about him is kind of refreshing, the way he just has a spark of assholeishness, but parades around all nice and friendly. He really wants to see if there's anything deeper to Kong, though, despite never knowing how to get it out of him. Maybe he'll insult clowns one day.
Kong also gets a +100 for liking animals, because Ventus has a bleeding heart for animals himself!!
He might not ever show Kong the horrible things he's done unless Kong gives him a reason to, though. :(a
Or unless Kong stumbles on them on his own, anyway.
How does Kong feel about his team?

I'm gonna answer, but just so you know I just got home and I'm gonna watch that memory of Ventus's from the mingle. I'm excited to see whether Kong will find it reasonable behavior or not. I'LL LET YOU KNOW.

Anyway, Kong likes his team well enough. He's particularly fond of Tora and has a modicum of respect for Io's
paranoiapracticality. He doesn't really feel close to any of them, but he would prefer not to be close to other people on the whole. Now that he's starting to get back criminal memories it's stressing him out knowing his team could see them. Cause it's like, goddamnit pretty soon I'm gonna have to start blackmailing my own team. Really would have preferred to avoid that!no subject
shit
that's why Simon has long hair, isn't it

Kong's: Probably insane, definitely dangerous. Can probably learn things from her. Use her curiosity of animal training to stay on her good side.

Kong is an acquaintance I don't know much about and my paranoia says I should be wary of because he exists, but his teammate is banging my teammate so we're probably not killing each other anytime soon. Bonus points if I can get him to teach me how to pet squirrels. 8U

I said before that Tora is Kong's favorite teammate, and that remains true. He relates with her in the way he would with an animal rather than a child, which probably sounds worse than it is. Since he likes animals better than people. And he does genuinely like her, in his own selfish way! Actually I laughed at that memory you linked in plurk cause I think that's not too far off from how he feels. THIS IS MY PET, HANDS OFF. He's too cowardly to be able to stop someone from hurting her, but he'd find a way to make them suffer afterward. That's gotta count for something.
But then again, he kinda wants to train her up into his attack dog. I tried to think of a less reprehensible way to phrase that but no that's pretty much it. He thinks that once she learns a little patience and some basic strategy, she'll make a fantastic weapon. So he's always going out of his way to teach her things and give her lots of praise and kindness.
What does Tora think of him?

So basically, his feelings toward Kaoru right now are love and guilt and relief and more guilt and wanting to cuddle, but murderers don't get cuddles.
He doesn't know where he stands with the others, but it's fairly apparent to him that Kaoru still wants to be friends... which only makes Tamaki wonder if it's right for him to still be Kaoru's friend, due to the way he acted while he was still in VIP mode. Not just the killing, but the being-a-bad-friend. And of course most of his behavior was the fault of the brainwashing, but not always in a direct way; in this case, part of the conditioning that kept him from cracking was the inability to make the logical connection between the actions he was taking and his friends being upset. So he could acknowledge "I 'killed' Kyouya" as well as "Kaoru is sad because he thinks Kyouya is dead," but couldn't logically bridge the gap between those two pieces of information. Seeing no reason to blame himself for Kaoru's sadness, he still tried to comfort Kaoru in what was a mostly sincere way... but knowing as he did that it was all a "game," and unable to take any responsibility for what he did, he couldn't help but take a perverse satisfaction in being able to get so close to Kaoru. So basically, he's beating himself up for taking emotional advantage.
So it's just awkward. It's like, I still want to be friends, you still want to be friends, but maybe nobody should be my friend anymore??? And not having any idea how to address the situation.
